Superintendent Engineer
Job Description
• Always ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the ships in his care as well as their maintenance in top condition. Aim for ZERO problems, incidents, and downtime.
• Budgeting and controlling the running cost of the vessels at optimal levels.
• Ensuring the efficacy of the crew onboard each vessel and their best development.
• Ensuring that, always, the vessels are in class, are properly certified and that all mandatory codes are effectively implemented onboard (e.g., ISM, ISPS, MLC, SOLAS. OCIMF etc.).
• Ensuring that the company and the vessels are marketed properly to 3d parties.
Candidate Profile
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position
• Master of Science degree in Naval Architect and Marine Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens is a must
• Proficiency in English and PC literacy
• Organization and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize
• Attention to detail
