Senior Auditor
Job Description
  • Leading day-to-day fieldwork and keeping engagement executives updated on Audit engagements
  • Effectively completing Audit processes with appropriate consideration of Audit risk issues and accounting technical matters
  • Embracing technology for a more efficient and effective Audit approach
  • Constantly developing your understanding of current market and industry trends and processes and sharing your knowledge to develop junior colleagues by providing on the job training on Audit skills and industry matters
  • Understanding our clients’ unique ambitions and needs and demonstrating a dedication to continually improve our services and broaden our business relationships where possible
  • Actively tracking developments on financial reporting frameworks (IFRS, Greek GAAP and US GAAP) and reporting requirements for EU Public Interest Entities to demonstrate exceptional technical expertise to clients and engagement executives

Candidate Profile
  • Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or other appropriate academic major
  • Two (2) up to five (5) years of relevant Audit working experience
  • Professional accountancy qualification or working towards gaining one (ACCA, ACA, CPA, SOEL)
  • Prior working experience in one of the big audit firms will be highly appreciated
  • Experience with reporting requirements (SEC, SOX 404) for US listed companies will be considered as an asset
  • Specialization in Audits of Shipping or Industry entities will be an advantage
  • Proficiency in Ms-Office applications
  • Fluency in Greek and English language 
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and project management skills
  • Critical thinking and ability to work in a multi-tasking and results-oriented working environment 
  • A can-do attitude,team-spirit  and attention to high quality and details 
  • Flexibility to travel in accordance with client and other job requirements both locally and internationally
