Adecco is currently seeking on behalf of its client, a leading shipping company for a dynamic professional to cover the following position based in Attica:
 
The job holder will work closely with the EPS Manager to monitor, plan, and execute major projects for a mixed fleet of Tankers and Bulkers, with a strong focus on quality, timeline management and cost control. He/she will also draft proposals, assess, and implement marine technologies (existing or innovative), as well as monitor, analyse and correlate the fleet’s energy and performance efficiency.
 Job Description
•Collaborate with the EPS Manager to review new and innovative technologies for ships and draft proposals for selection
•Prepare Owner's Repair Specifications for major retrofits and support dry docking budget preparation
•Stay updated on current and forthcoming regulations related to Marine Environment, Energy Efficiency, Decarbonization, etc. and assess the need for implementing innovative technologies, modifications, and installations of new machinery across the fleet
•Contribute to decarbonization and efficiency goals, cost-effective operations, and minimize the full life cycle environmental impact
•Contribute to project management, including reviewing necessary specifications, vendors, drawings and evaluation of technologies
•Assess, plan, budget and evaluate tenders, oversee installations at shipyards, follow up on retrofit projects and monitor key stages of newbuilding constructions
•Establish criteria and methods to evaluate the effectiveness of energy and decarbonization retrofit projects 
•Attend vessels to develop repair specifications in close cooperation with the vessel's Technical Superintendent
•Contribute to any other efforts not mentioned above as and when required
Candidate Profile
•Msc or Meng in Naval Architecture and/or Marine or Mechanical Engineering 
•Four (4) years of working experience in ship repair, new building projects, major projects or working in an engineering firm or shipyards
•Proven knowledge of vessel performance optimization and environmental regulations
•Fluency in Greek and English (for both verbal and written communication)
•Excellent computer literacy
•Extensive experience in engineering software is preferred
•Able to travel internationally and attend project deployment for prolonged periods
•Very good communication skills
•Very good learning agility
•Excellent organizational and project management skills
•Self-motivated, independent and resourceful; able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
•Assertive and thorough, Friendly, easygoing team player
