Category Manager
Job Description
• Planning product ranges and preparing sales and stock plans in conjunction with buyers
• Liaising with buyers, analysts, stores, suppliers and distributors
• Working closely with visual-display staff and department heads
• Forecasting profits and sales, and optimizing the sales volume and profitability of designated product areas
• Planning budgets and presenting sales forecasts and figures for new ranges
• Controlling stock levels based on forecasts for the season
• Gathering information on customers' reactions to products
• Making financial presentations to senior managers
• Accompanying buyers on visits to manufacturers to appreciate production processes
• Identifying production and supply difficulties and dealing with any problems or delays as they arise
• Support all teams with ad hoc analysis and queries as required
Candidate Profile
• Bachelor’s Degree Required
• Minimum of 3 years working experience with proven record in Merchandising, Sales Analysis and Forecasting preferably in a apparel/ fashion retail brand
• Superior knowledge of the English and Greek language, written and oral
• PC literate
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment and to quickly identify problems and recommend solutions
• Sound decision-making skills and the ability to plan and prioritize
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Strong commercial acumen and the ability to understand what will appeal to customers
• Genuine passion and interest in fashion
