Head of Fixed Assets


Adecco HR is the global leader in HR services, certified in Greece with ISO 9001:2015 in the field of search and selection services and temporary placement. Adecco is currently seeking, on behalf of its client, a well known energy company, for a dynamic professional to cover the following position:
Head of Fixed Assets
Responsibilities:     
•    Record fixed assets by creating and supervising a system of procedures, forms, and controls.
•    Recommend any updates to accounting policies affecting fixed assets to management.
•    Record in the accounting system newly acquired fixed assets and those disposed
•    Track, compile, and record project costs in fixed asset accounts; close out the accounts at the completion of the projects.
•    Perform reconciliation of fixed asset subsidiary ledger balance with summary-level account in the general ledger.
•    Perform depreciation calculation for all fixed assets.
•    Perform revision and update on the detailed schedule of accumulated depreciation and fixed assets.
•    Perform asset retirement obligation calculations for  applicable assets..
•    Find out fixed assets’ obsolescence potential
•    Carry out periodic reviews on intangible assets’ impairment.
•    As may be requested by management, perform fixed asset related analyses.
•    Create fixed asset related audit schedules, and collaborate with auditors on their assignments.
•    Serve as company representative at any audits relating to fixed assets facilitated by a government agency.
•    Track Company’s fixed asset spending in relation to its capital budget, as well as management authorizations.
•    Prepare the monthly capital reporting summary pack for submission to senior executives.
•    Coach and mentor others on capital governance process and related tools and templates.
Requirements:
•    Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting/economics.
•    Minimum of 3 years capital management experience.
•     Strong excel and computer skills, SAP knowledge.
•    Ability to work with multiple deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
•    Experience in a mature organization is essential.
•    Demonstrable experience of working with multi-disciplinary, cross functional teams.
•    Excellent Stakeholder Management and communication skills to build impact and influence.
•    Ability to work on own initiative.
•    Teamwork, collaboration, and the ability to build effective partnerships with both business and technical stakeholders at all levels of an organization is an essential requirement of this role
