Data Center Shift Engineer

Adecco is currently seeking, on behalf of its client, a leading global telecommunication provider of IP, Data, Cloud, Data Center, Mobile and Voice solutions, for dynamic professionals to cover the following positions for their Data Centers.
Data Center Shift Engineer
(Μεταμορφωση) (Κορωπι) 
Job Description
•    Member of a 24x7 Technical Customer Support team (40 hour/week in rotating shifts). 1st level support for Data Centre colocation services. Remote Hands and Eyes support on customer equipment.
•    Reports to Team Leader and to Site Manager. Diagnose and solve connectivity issues, Test cables and capacity services using Digital Transmission Analyzers (IP/OTN/SDH)
•    Management of Trouble Tickets and Service Requests by customers
•    Monitoring the Data Centre infrastructures (Power, cooling, etc) and engaging the respective specialized team
•    Implementation of physical connections (fibre & UTP patching) for the provision of services to customers or interconnections between customers. Rack and stack of IT equipment.
•    Management of all site visitors access and logistics (Physical access requests, escort to rack, reception/dispatch/storage of equipment, etc.)
•    1st level monitoring of network devices (Firewalls, routers, switches)
•    Implements policies to ensure work operations and carried out in an efficient and timely manner
Candidate Profile
•    University degree (AEI or TEI) in Computer Science or Telecoms. Candidates with proven work experience in relevant position may be considered even without a university degree.
•    Proficient user of the English language to communicate with multinational customers and Sparkle NOC teams worldwide
•    Working experience in Network Operations Centres (NOC) will be considered as a plus
•    Previous experience in Technical customer support or Service Management (ITIL) will be appreciated
•    Junior knowledge in Networking (CCNA is strongly recommended)
•    Ability to work on 24/7 rotating shifts
•    Communication and interpersonal skills
