Application Support Engineer (remote work)
Candidate Profile
• Strong educational background in Information Technology. A degree in Computer Science or related field it is a must.
• Minimum 3 years proven work experience as an Application Support Engineer
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English, both written and spoken
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including to communicate technical ideas clearly effectively and convincingly
• Ability to work in teams and with people of varying abilities and backgrounds
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and correctly
• Able to troubleshoot and identify technical issues quickly
• Willingness to travel abroad for projects
• Strong knowledge of PL/SQL. Basic Linux, Oracle DBMS, XML, scripting knowledge
• Experience in payment cards, banking, or payments industry
• Experience with any payment processing application package
• Knowledge of payment scheme specifications and processes
Job Description
• Build, improve and maintain our capability to continuously monitor health and availability of Way4 applications
• Assess impact, plan, and install WAY4 patches and releases
• Be a member of incident response team on rolling basis and resolve critical/major incidents involving Way4 application
• Debug application defects and manage defects to resolution with development team
• Participate in integration, functional and stress testing of application releases and patches
• Control and troubleshoot Way4 application regular processing tasks
• Various Way4 application housekeeping tasks and health checks
• Perform Way4 application configuration changes according to change orders
• Manage application configuration changes, synchronize, and merge configuration changes
