Job Description
 
  • Overall responsibility for Purchasing and Cost Estimating activities across the business
  • Create and implement best practice purchasing vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve business performance
  • Ensure that purchasing strategies and processes are in place to meet business objectives and operational needs in terms of price, quality and delivery targets
  • Take ownership of the purchasing policy, guidelines and any associated documents
  • Initiate and develop creative and innovative procurement processes (eProcurement) General and Task Management
  • Responsible for managing relationships and negotiating with key suppliers at a senior and strategic level
  • Negotiate contract terms with key suppliers to ensure value for money, quality standards and delivery terms with technical and operational input from stakeholders if appropriate
  • Set department objectives and monitor ongoing progress and performance
  • Provide leadership, coordination and coaching to the team, ensuring they succeed in their roles

 
Candidate Profile
 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Logistics & Supply management or related field
  • Proven experience of minimum 5 years in procurement, preferably in a multinational environment
  • Team leading experience is a must
  • Experience in RFP and e-auctions
  • Moral courage, openness and honesty in all dealings
  • Self- motivated and able to work well under pressure
  • Ability to work under limited supervision
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong multitasking and negotiation skills
  • Strong oral and written communications skills; ability to communicate with technical and non-technical teams and external partners
  • Excellent command of the English language (C2 level certification desired, Language Cert C2 LTE or C2 IESOL certificate would be a plus)
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and use of Internet
