                                  Reception Assistant - Transfers 

Job description 

The Reception Assistant-Transfers works under the supervision of the Greek authorities (Reception and Identification Service-RIS) in performing some or all of the following tasks: 

•    Provide general support and contribute to the implementation of reception policies, in particular regarding transfers;
•    Support the RIS in the planning and implementation of targeted activities, in particular regarding transfers;
•    Support on the assessment of the eligibility of applicants for international protection to appropriate accommodation schemes; 
•    Support on the allocation of applicants for international protection to appropriate accommodation schemes;
•    Support and contribute to the coordination of the transfers of applicants to appropriate accommodation, liaising with relevant stakeholders;
•    Support RIS in liaising and communicating with relevant authorities and actors and facilitate cooperation and creation of efficient workflows and networks among relevant stakeholders; 
•    Support RIS on setting up and running efficient local networks that include all actors involved in the protection of groups of vulnerable applicants;
•    Support RIS in the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), guidance, operational and administrative tools; 
•    Support RIS in developing processes, workflows, tools and guidance that address local needs on issues relevant to transfers to be implemented internally and/or in the cooperation with other actors;
•    Participate in meetings and liaise with internal and external stakeholders; 
•    Attend regular meetings with EASO;
•    Participate in trainings organised by EASO or other stakeholders, when requested;
•    Provide to EASO regular analytical and statistical reports of provided services, challenges faced and best practices observed;
•    Draft documents, templates, minutes and reports; 
•    Perform any other tasks in the interest of the service, relevant for the specific profile.

Candidates Profile

•    University degree – preferred and advantageous;
•    Sound demonstrated previous experience in relevant tasks will be an advantage;
•    Very good understanding of the Greek migration and reception context;
•    Fluency in Greek and in English (oral and written);
•    Computer literacy, including MS Office applications (Word, Excel), use of internet and web-based applications;
•    Very good intercultural/interdisciplinary communication skills;
•    Excellent organizational and analytical skills;
•    Ability to work in a multicultural environment and under pressure.
