Adecco is currently seeking, on behalf of EASO, an agency of European Union, acting as the centre of expertise of asylum, for dynamic professionals to cover the following position in Lesvos, Chios, Samos, Leros, Kos, Fylakio:

                                  Legal Officer 

Job description 
The Legal officer works under the supervision of the Greek authorities (Reception and Identification Service-RIS) in performing some or all of the following tasks:
•    
•    Provide legal support/advice to RIS on reception, identification and registration procedures/regulations for applicants of international protection;
•    Support RIS in the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs),  guidance, operational and administrative tools; 
•    Support RIS in developing processes, workflows, tools and guidance that address local issues related to the administrative treatment/reception of applicants for international protection, to be implemented internally and/or in the cooperation with other actors;
•    Provide specialised legal support/advice and adjust or complement processes, workflow tools and guidance to address the needs and rights of vulnerable groups, including unaccompanied minors; 
•    Support RIS staff with capacity building activities and on-the-job coaching on topics and tools related to legal and administrative matters in the areas of reception, identification and registration of applicants for international protection; 
•    Provide legal support/advice and hands-on support in administrative tasks and procedures related to (i) the Dublin III Regulation, (ii) the appointment by Public Prosecutors of temporary care takers for separated children, as well as (iii) referral of unaccompanied minors to specialised accommodation;  
•    Support RIS in the implementation of the Voluntary Relocation Exercise; 
•    Support RIS on the liaison/cooperation with other public authorities and other stakeholders on matters related to reception, identification and registration of applicants for international protection, in particular with local Asylum Service offices and with the Public Prosecutor;
•    Provide collective and individual information to applicants for international protection regarding the national/EU legal frameworks on asylum, reception, registration and identification procedures and/or procedures related to their case; 
•    Participate in local meetings, either internally in RIS or with other local actors;
•    Attend and contribute to thematic, coordination or other meetings and workshops organised by RIS, EASO and/or other actors at central level, that aim to enhance and harmonise activities, procedures, and tools on reception issues;
•    Attend regular meetings with EASO at local level;
•    Participate in trainings organised by EASO or other stakeholders locally or in other locations, when requested;
•    Provide to EASO regular analytical and statistical reports of provided services, challenges faced and best practices observed;
•    Draft documents, templates, minutes and reports;
•    Perform any other tasks in the interest of the service, relevant for the specific profile.


Candidates Profile

•    University degree in Law or other relevant fields;
•    Previous experience in relevant tasks will be considered as an advantage;
•    Very good understanding of the Greek migration and reception context;
•    Fluency in Greek and in English (oral and written);
•    Computer literacy, including MS Office applications (Word, Excel), use of internet and web-based applications;
•    Excellent intercultural/interdisciplinary communication skills;
•    Excellent organizational and analytical skills;
•    Ability to work in a multicultural environment
