Adecco is currently seeking, on behalf of EASO, an agency of European Union, acting as the centre of expertise of asylum, for dynamic professionals to cover the following position in Lesvos, Chios, Samos, Leros, Kos:
 
                                  Logistics Assistant 

Job description 

The Logistics Assistant works under the supervision of the Greek authorities (Reception and Identification Service-RIS) in performing some or all of the following tasks:

•    Support RIS to maintain comprehensive overview of warehouse, supplies and ordered goods; 
•    Ensure timely collection of needs in cooperation with all relevant departments;
•    Identify in due time the appropriate procedures for the provision of the required goods and ensure, in cooperation with the relevant departments, that such procedures are launched in a timely manner; 
•    Liaise with relevant departments and internal and external stakeholders in order to plan and monitor the delivery of goods; 
•    Organize systems for storage and warehouse;
•    Responsible for monitoring material transported and delivered for timeliness and legality
•    Support with developing and preparing databases, reports, overview documents, etc
•    Provide support in maintaining an appropriate filing system for the organisation and overview of the warehouse;
•    Participate in local meetings relevant to the tasks or on other reception issues, either internally in RIS or with other local actors;
•    Attend regular meetings with EASO;
•    Participate in trainings organised by EASO or other stakeholders, when requested;
•    Provide to EASO regular analytical and statistical reports of provided services, challenges faced and best practices observed;
•    Draft documents, templates, minutes and reports; 
•    Perform any other tasks in the interest of the service, relevant for the specific profile

Candidates Profile

•    University degree – preferred and advantageous;
•    Sound demonstrated previous experience in relevant tasks will be an advantage;
•    Very good understanding of the Greek migration and reception context;
•    Fluency in Greek and in English (oral and written);
•    Computer literacy, including MS Office applications (Word, Excel), use of internet and web-based applications;
•    Very good intercultural/interdisciplinary communication skills;
•    Excellent organizational and analytical skills;
•    Ability to work in a multicultural environment and under pressure.
