Senior Instrumentation and Control Engineer
Adecco is currently seeking, on behalf of its client in the Oil & Gas industry, for an Instrumentation and Control Engineer to cover the following position:
Senior Instrumentation and Control Engineer
Job Description
• Design, development, engineering, procurement support of Instrumentation, Final Control Elements, SCADA, Station Control system, ESD system and F&G system.
• Preparation of all documents and drawings such as specifications, block diagrams, datasheets, calculations, index, cause & effect, logic diagram, location layout, cable routing layout, wiring diagram, cable schedule, MTO, MR, TBE, system philosophy and system architecture.
• Carryout sizing calculations for Control Valves, Flow Meters, Pneumatic & Hydraulic Power Systems
• Instrument cable voltage drop & Intrinsically Safe Circuit Calculations
• Design, selection, specification and datasheet preparation of a large variety of instruments, control system, analyzers, telecommunication and information equipment.
• Attend interface meetings with Clients and Vendors to progress design scopes
• Review Instrumentation and Control Systems Vendors offers, prepare Vendor Technical Clarifications, and prepare Technical Bid Evaluation reports
• Preparation the control philosophy and narratives for pipeline operation, safeguarding and Participation in HAZID, HAZOP and SIL assessment meetings
Candidate Profile
• Master of Science degree in Electrical, Electronics or Instrumentation & Control Engineering
• 5-10 years of work experience in detailed engineering and design of Instrumentation & Control works for Oil & Gas projects in similar position.
• Excellent oral and written English skills able to produce fluent Documents, Reports, and Technical Notes
• PC literate (MS office)
• Fully familiar with relevant international codes, standards and recommended practices such as API, ISA, ISO, ANSI/ASME, IEC, IEEE, ITU, TIA/EIA, etc
• Knowledge of hazardous area classification and the selection of equipment for installation and use in hazardous environments.
• In-depth knowledge of engineering and design of Control system, Control valves, Safety valves, Analyzers and Instrumentation including Flow instruments, Pressure instruments, Level instruments and Temperature instruments.
• Working knowledge of CAD software required, AutoCAD preferred.
• Must be self-motivated, results oriented and flexible to work well under tight schedules in a fast-paced multi-disciplinary team environment
