Senior Accountant
Job description
• Prepare and post general ledger entries, review entries/accounts
• Responsible for preparation and submission of VΑΤ and Intrastat statements
• Preparation and submission of withholding taxes
• Participate in the monthly Fixed Assets reconcilliation procedure
• Effectively conduct monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations for a set of accounts
• Reconciliations of guarantees, down payments, insurance and road assistance
• Participate in the monthly closing Process effectively and within deadlines
• Participate in reconciliation of different sets of accounts and records for IFRS, Statutory and Tax books
• Support in the preparation of the Annual Financial statements package under IFRS
• Participate as preparer/controller in the quarterly self-assessment of internal controls as per company’s requirements
• Coordinate with internal & external (statutory and tax) auditors
Candidate Profile
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/ Business Administration/Economics or relevant field
• Three (3) to five (5) years as Accounting professional or similar position
• Strong accounting and tax knowledge
• Knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs and all relative digital tools
• Excellent command of both written and spoken English
• Reconcilliation skills
• Results orientation and efficiency
