Adecco is currently seeking, on behalf of its client, a leading company in the construction industry, for a dynamic professional to cover the following position:
Accountant
Job Description
• Monitors company’s construction projects or joint ventures that company participates in
• Ensures the correct accounting entries take place
• Follow-up of bank deposits & reconciliation of SOA’s/balances
• Handles monthly, quarterly & annual closings
• Submits monthly & annual tax statements (i.e. VAT, withholding taxes, etc.)
• Participates in the composition of annual and periodic financial statements and reports, required by the law
• Supports the Budgeting department and composes reports on behalf of the Accounting department
• Supports Transfer Pricing
• Ensures the proper application of the Accounting department’s internal processes and all the necessary time schedules
• Actively participates in the implementation of new systems & applications
• Prepares all necessary supporting files and documents for certified auditors
• Participates in tax audits
Candidate Profile
• Three (3) to Five (5) years of working experience in Accounting positions – previous experience in construction company will be considered an asset
• University Degree in Accounting
• Very good knowledge of both Greek GAAP and IFRS
• Very good knowledge of tax and commercial legislation (N. 4548, ΓΕΜΗ etc.)
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office. Proficient use of SAP will be considered an asset
• Fluency in English
• Organization and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize
• Attention to detail
