Adecco is currently seeking, on behalf of its client, a multinational organization operating in the services industry, for a senior professional to cover the following position based in Attica:
Chief Accountant 
The job holder will be reporting to the CFO, managing a team of 3 and will be interacting intensively with CEO and rest companies’ functions.
Job Description
•Lead, manage and control all daily processes and tasks of accounting department, 
•Maintain an accurate ledger, assure compliance and accuracy, review journal entries/accounts, approve payments
•Effectively conduct monthly balance reconciliations
•Manage and review all tax and social security related obligations to authorities and ability to solve any tax issues that may arise 
•Conduct monthly all checks/entries/reconciliations needed for the Fixed Assets Register as per Group accounting policies
•Lead and Manage monthly closing Process effectively and within strict deadlines
•Maintain and reconcile different sets of accounts and records for IFRS, Statutory and Tax books
•Preparation of the Annual Financial statements package under IFRS
•Participate as preparer in the quarterly self-assessment of internal controls as per company’s requirements
•Deal with annual Transfer pricing reporting
•Coordinate with internal & external (statutory and tax) auditors and finalize audits
•Perfom internal and external HR reporting and other HR administration tasks
•Dealing with external consultants for Payroll calculation and manage any related records/reporting for authorities
•Identify areas of process improvements by making recommendations on new or existing accounting processes or procedures to increase efficiency
•Work with Finance Director and cross-functional business partners to establish business processes for new or changing business initiatives
Candidate Profile
•Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.Master`s degree in Accounting/Finance and/or professional qualification (IESOEL, ACCA) is strongly appreciated
•Strong technical background in accounting in both IFRS & Greek GAAP, laws (Tax & Labor) and other regulations
•Class A Signatory right
•At least Five (5) five years of experience in a similar role at managerial level
•Excellent English and Greek command
•Advanced computer skills in MS Office and accounting software
•Excellent written and verbal communications skills
•Good interpersonal skills
•Excellent team management skills
•Creative thinking, problem solving with ability to meet and maintain required performance standards.
