Financial Accountant and Analyst (7months contract for a maternity cover)
Adecco is currently seeking, on behalf of its client, a a leading multinational company within the data and records management sector, for a professional to cover the following position based in Western Attica:
Financial Accountant and Analyst (7 months contract for a maternity cover)
The job holder will help running the company’s Finance and Accounting activities for the specific time period (12/2020-07/2021). He/she report to the Country Finance Manager.
Job Description
•Support the accounting department in daily, monthly, and annual activities (prepare & upload to local software & record asset/liability/revenue/expense/bank entries by compiling and analysing account information
•Support the Finance Manager in financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, compliance reporting and statutory reporting obligations
•Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions (Prepare monthly account reconciliations. Maintain general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts; preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries)
•Process Bank payments, prepare bank reconciliations and coordinate to resolve various issues with bank such as cleared check differences, bank fee anomalies, targeted balance calculations and enhancements to online services
•Assist occasionally the credit management and/ or the billing process
•Support the preparation of tax returns, corporate reporting requirements and all government declarations related to the accounting/financial activities of the company
•Assist with completion of annual regulatory filings; preparation of assigned Annual Statutory Statement pages/schedules
Candidate Profile
•Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
•MSc/MBA in Accounting, Finance or relevant field will be considered as asset
•Minimum (3) three years work experience in the field of Finance, Accounting and/or Controlling preferably coming from a multinational environment
•Good knowledge of the Greek Accounting Standards
•Familiar with US GAAP or IFRS
•Strong working knowledge of MS Office applications, especially Excel and experience with (at least one) well known ERP information system
•Greek and English written and verbal communication skills, including ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout the organization
•Strong analytical and good planning skills
•Flexibility and team spirit working style
